Greetings, this petition is to create excitement and get involvement from various interested members of the Greater Rockford and surrounding area communities. A lengthy petition will do well to establish confidence in potential investors, and to ensure a customer base that would likely expedite the process of re-instituting one of the wholesome family oriented activities we once had in this community.
If you are like me, you can remember the nights spent at one of our many screens we were once blessed with. Gone are the days my family and I would spend the afternoon BBQing and then packing up blankets and the kids and then go check out a double feature.
If any of this brings back fond memories or if you're new to Rockford and never had a chance to experience a Drive-in or if you are just now old enough and this sounds like a great idea, join me in this opportunity and let's bring it back! If I get enough signatures I'm going to submit this petition to as many organizations as I can including the Rockford Area Economic Development Council, the Mayors office, and any other private investors who may be interested.
