Currently, the age restriction for in-patient admittance into the Royal Childrens Hospital is anyone under fourteen years old. A child in Australia is someone who under the age of eighteen, therefore the age of admittance into the Royal Childrens Hospital of Brisbane should be raised to eighteen with an adolescent wing to cater for those between the ages of fourteen and eighteen.
