Sacred Grounds took a hit last night. A car load of young men from Lawrenceville, New Jersey, with the intention of starting a fight, came and disrupted a otherwise very peaceful evening. I, along with several others, were assaulted. It is the first time in our nine year history that something like this has happened. If it were not for the Sacred Ground regulars who pulled the two men who jumped me off - I might be in the hospital today. I am very grateful for your help - you know who you are. I am okay.
I am very proud of the way that 99.9\% of the young people there last night handled themselves - as I am every Friday night. Your respect makes my work at Sacred Grounds very fulfilling. There are those who will use an incident like this to try to shut Sacred Grounds down. We can't let that happen. We have to educate them to the wonderful opportunity that is Sacred Grounds. It is a clean safe place for young people to come and have fun - Its one of the few.
Now is the time for you, who value Sacred Grounds, to step up to the plate. Sacred Grounds needs you. We have to come together to make sure that nothing like this ever happens again. We will have to reassure those who have well reasoned doubts that we can continue to be a healthy safe place for young people. We can use this as an opportunity to deepen and strengthen our community. In the next couple of weeks I will schedule a support meeting for Sacred Grounds. Until then we need to hear from you your ideas and we need to hear from your parents also. Please email me using this site and let me know what you think. Write letters, circulate petitions, and let everyone know Sacred Grounds is something that has to go on.

Scared Grounds keeps alot of kids from just wondering around there neighborhoods getting into trouble it gives us a place to go to stay out of trouble.

I've been going to sacred ground a long time. We can't let some Jersey kids shut down the only place to go. Where else are we going to go? The mall? Hellz no. I would lose contact with some cool people if sacred stopped. SAVE SACRED GROUNDS!

We not only enjoy playing sacred grounds and the amazing reaction we got from the crowd there, but we enjoy going to shows there regularly. The crowd is amazing, the people who go there and play there are some of the nicest people to ever walk the earth.
