In light of the recent execution of political prisoners by the Islamic Regime in Iran and the gross human rights violations committed by the Islamic Regime in Iran for the past 31 years we the undersigned are greatly concerned about the lives of two political prisoners Ms. Zeynab Jalaliyan and Ms. Shirin Alam Hoolo.
Ms. Zeynab Jalaliyan is a 27 years old Kurdish political prisoner who was recently sentenced to death by the Islamic Regime in Iran. Her death sentence was confirmed by the Supreme Court in Iran.
Ms. Jalaliyan has been in prison for the past two years in the Dizel Abad Prison in the city of Kermanshah. She was convicted of being a Mohareb (enemy of God) for working with a Kurdish opposition group PJAK. Ms. Jalaliyans trial took only a few minutes without the presence of her defence lawyer.
Ms. Shirin Alam Hoolo a 28 years old Kurdish activist, who has been imprisoned for the past 1.5 years, mostly in Section 209 of the Evin Prison. She spent 28 days in the Sepah detention centre where she was subjected to brutal torture.
Ms. Alam Hoolo has also been convicted of being a Mohareb and sentenced to death for her alleged involvement in the Kurdish opposition group PJAK.
We respectfully urge you not to remain silent in the face of such injustice and to pressure the Islamic Regime to commute the death sentence of these two political prisoners, as well as all political prisoners in Iran.
