Stop the Unlimited* Bandwidth lies.

The #1 reason most people have went on with Telus, is because of there "Non strict" bandwidth policies. Telus reps have been informing us users for a long time... that they are not enforced, and have a LARGE amount of bandwidth available... and in the future, they will most likely not be monitoring it.

Now... Telus is planning on being strict, with such SMALL download caps. Basically saying... screw the 17\% of "power users" I myself... think this is bull shi*.I've been a faithful Telus user for years of my life. VOIP is out... and the only reason I keep my current phone line, is to be hooked up on DSL. However if I am going to be capped at a mere 20 GB for the $55 I am paying.. + The $25 minimum for phone I'm paying... I say screw Telus, I am going to Shaw Extreme, with double the speeds, cheaper the price, and almost triple the download limit.

While everyone else gets upgraded (Not just the USA Cable users... who are now getting 10 MB/s download and unlimited data) But the people on the east side of Canada, Telus is offering harsher rules... with no benefits at all. Do we get higher speeds? Hasnt been mentioned yet. But even if we do... why would we need them with our 10/20 GB caps?

I say... Telus offers an unlimited plan. Or a higher speed plan. If youre against what Telus is doing... please sign this petition. Im sure we cant reach a lot of people... but maybe enough people will hear about this... And Telus will see, that even if its not the majority of there customers... a HUGE chunk of there customers will be un satisfied with the current changes. Myself I am in California right now. On a hotel internet... getting 80 KB/s instead of my 280 KB/s. But hey... I download 100 GB A month and I am not looking forward to coming home to be limited to triple the speeds, 1/10 the download Limit. If Telus doesnt want to lose a lot of there customers... They need to make an unlimited account at even half the speed... double the price. Please post your comments, or suggestions here.
