Professor Ou was recently denied tenure at Scripps College. There is an appeal process, but in order to stand a chance of reversing the decision, we need all of the support we can get. Please sign this online petition to demonstrate your support.
We have until Wednesday, April 14th to impress upon the administration and Board of Trustees that Professor Ou is an invaluable member of the Scripps faculty and community.
This year, the Scripps student body voted to make Professor Ou our Professor of the Year. Professor Ou is a gifted and dedicated teacher. His passion for mathematics inspires us. He is a constant positive presence on campus, and he works tirelessly to help each of his students achieve their goals.
If you have benefited from Professor Ou's instruction, guidance, and support...if you've ever shared a conversation, laugh or smile with Professor Ou over tea...if you think the idea of learning math from an Aikido master is awesome...then please support Professor Ou for tenure.
If we do not speak out, Scripps will lose an incredible professor.

Professor Ou truly values and respects each of his students and has always gone out of his way to say hello to me. His support was invaluable in my first year at Scripps and was, truthfully, a large reason why I stayed at Scripps.
