The proposed enoblement of David Bernstein

The House of Commons has recently revealed its recognition for the economic, social, cultural and sporting importance of football to the United Kingdom and is surprised at the paucity of representatives from the world of football in the House of Lords. This recognition has achieved public prominence through the Early Day Motion 1926 tabled on 15th June 2011. David Bernstein, as the current Chairman of the Football Association, president of National Association of Disabled Supporters and chairman of Wembley Stadium Limited is best positioned to represent the voice of supporters in the Upper House. We believe that Mr. Bernstein has demonstrated his commitment to fair play and respect throughout a long and distinguished career in commerce and sports administration and should be recommended for appointment to the Upper House.
