Triton College Health Careers Evening Program

Triton College in River Grove, IL currently offers one of only five accredited Health Careers programs in the state. Unfortunately, these programs are offered only as full-time day programs, allowing little, if any, opportunity for adults wishing to go back to school to make a career change. It is understood that this is possible if the student can work in the evening or overnight, but that is not always the case for those of us required (by the amount of bills we have) to work full-time and take care of families.

The concept of a full or part-time evening program is feasible, especially considering that hospitals and many other health care facilities operate on three shifts, allowing ample time for clinical rotation after the traditional first shift.
