We endorse the following letter to President Bush and Governor Bush drafted by Philip J. Berg, Esquire to "Save Terri Schiavo."

Dear President Bush and Governor Bush:
I am a Democrat writing to express my concern regarding Terri Schiavo. I commend President Bush for signing the recent legislation regarding this case; and I commend Governor Bush for his efforts to date. As a parent, there is nothing I can imagine worse than watching the demise of a child.
My suggestion: Issue an Executive Order regarding Terri [Theresa Marie] Schiavo - to have the feeding tube immediately reinserted; have her parents designated as Guardians of Terri; and declare her divorced. Executive Orders are generally not challenged. Terri can then live, allowing further tests and rehabilitation to be attempted.
You are well within your right to do so, and there are "real" questions about Terri Schiavo, including her condition, her treatment or lack of it, and questions concerning the lack of natural light and flowers around her.
Such an order would allow Terri's allegedly concerned husband, Michael, to go on with his already established new life, as he is engaged and the woman he is engaged to has two children by him.
In my opinion, it is the only right thing to do for Terri Schiavo, and you have the power and authority to do so. And what a day to issue your Executive Order, Good Friday, the day Christians commemorate the suffering and pain of Christ.
