It's time when the people of Ireland decided to stand up against this state enforced tax that costs €160 per year per household in Ireland. RTE receives €140 of this fee and still take commercial advertising & sponsorship which generates over €160 million.
The public state broadcaster should either have adverts OR the fee.
Or if we are to pay a broadcasting licence fee it should be distributed amongst all radio & TV broadcasters nationwide.
If RTE still want to charge then it should be on a Pay Per View basis. If you want it, pay for it, if you don't then don't.
Let's take back our right to choose if we want a service that we are being forced to pay for at the moment
