Gov. Blunt has proposed the reduction of eligibility for Medicaid services to 74\% of the federal poverty level.
What does that mean? It means, if you receive more than $575.00 per month income, then you would have to spend extra money on medical expenses before you qualify for Medicaid.
He also has proposed the ELIMINATION of Medicaid funding for the following services:
a.) wheelchairs
b.) dental services
c.) podiatry needs would not be covered under his proposal
And, for the population of people with disabilities that use personal attendant services, the hired attendant would NOT be paid until you met the required spend-down amount.
