Add support for DTS over optical connections on Panasonic all-in-one surround sound systems

Panasonic makes some excellent all in one home cinema systems which support a wide variety of audio codecs, including Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS. However, for an unknown reason, the systems such as the SC-BT200 only support DTS when playing a disc in the inbuilt drive, but not via the optical input. The hardware is certainly capable of receiving the optical signal, and the software is clearly capable of decoding DTS. So why is DTS decoding not available on Panasonic systems? It seems that its omission is intentional - surely all adding it would require is a firmware update.
The worst part of this is that Panasonic DO NOT state anywhere on their product specifications pages that while the receiver supports DTS, it does not support it via an optical connection. Many people were mislead into buying their all in one systems only to discover that they do not perform the function they were intended for. This is especially a problem for people who have media centre PCs which often output DTS audio. If they can't output DTS to the system, the audio has to be downmixed to a 2 channel PCM signal, meaning the surround sound system will not output surround at all.
Sign this petition if you have been affected by this, if you have been tempted to buy a Panasonic all in one system only to discover this seemingly pointless or incredibly lazy omission, or if you just think it's completely stupid that a modern surround sound receiver cannot receive DTS over an optical connection when it can clearly decode it from a disc.
