Administrative Access

As you all know, we, as students at Brewster Academy, have received a computer or purchased one for use during the school day. It is to be used for work purpose only, and everyone's computer must be at the same restriction level as the other. This is because one student shouldnt have more access then others, and apparently an administrative password will secure that.

Within a week of receiving computers every year for the past three, the majority of the student body has received the password and disregarded this rule because they feel they should be aloud to customize their computer, not have it remain a "clone." We as students had full privileges to our computers before 2003, and it made no difference then, so why restrict us now?

It is obvious that removing the restriction will not lead to any problems, only the school losing power over their students. Brewster Academy should return the control of the students bought, leased, or borrowed computers so long as they are in the hands of the students, by removing the Administration control and allowing the students to be the Administrators of their computers.
