Ageism should not be tolerated from Tim Hortons

Tim Hortons is in violation of Human Rights Code ChapterH19, Part 1-2







Tim Hortons on Eringate Dr at Renforth is in violation of the Ontario Human Rights Code ChapterH19, Part 1, Chapter 2







It states:



Every person has a right to equal treatment with respect to the occupancy of accommodation, without discrimination because of race, ancestry, place of origin, colour, ethnic origin, citizenship, creed, sex, sexual orientation, age, marital status, family status, disability or the receipt of public assistance. R.S.O. 1990, c. H.19, s. 2 (1); 1999, c. 6, s. 28 (2); 2001, c. 32, s. 27 (1); 2005, c. 5, s. 32 (2).







This Tim Hortons location has restricted access to students between the hours of 11:00am-4:00pm. Students, who are paying clients, are no longer permitted to sit in the seats and enjoy their coffee, tea or what have you because Tim Hortons has become and ageist corporation.







Sign this petition if you want to take action! Our goal is to have the RIGHT, not privilege, of sitting down at Tim Hortons and receiving the same level of service that is enjoyed by non-students.
