We, the undersigned, as concerned members of the Dog Fancy in Canada, offer this petition to show our EXTREME DISMAY at the recent policy changes by Air Canada, this countrys national airline carrier, with respect to the transport of dogs on Air Canada flights.
We find the recent Air Canada policy changes with respect to embargo dates, weight limitations, price increases, as well as the necessity for dog & crate combinations over 70 lbs to be handled as Cargo as opposed to excess baggage to be nothing more that a blatant money grab tactic and in some ways discriminatory against those of us who travel by air with our dogs.
We desire that Air Canada review these recent changes in policy and go back to allowing us the same rights and costs we have always had when using Air Canada for our animal transport needs. Failing this appeal, it is the intention of the undersigned to boycott Air Canada and select other Air Carriers as our preferred airline carrier, not only when travelling with our animals, but also for those other air flights when we are not accompanied by animals as well.
