Alternative Energy

There are alternative uses of energy to the non-renewable ones we are relying more on every day. We use oil for fuel for all our planes, cars, and trucks, every day. Natural gas is used for heating and cooking. Natural gas also has many uses, such as, paints, plastics, propane, steel, glass, paper, dyes, and many more items. We also use coal for making electricity and for making steel. We can also export it to other countries and places. But, what if these non-renewable energy sources run out? Research says that in approximately ____ years, our non-renewable sources will all be out. We cant wait for more years in order to replenish our supplies. It will take more than a million years to rebuild up a supply of energy.


So what can we do in order to advert or prepare for this disaster? Well, we can first start more research on renewable energy sources, such as, solar, wind, water, geothermal, and biomass energy. We can also help make sure well have enough energy; by building more of the items that we need to produce these types of energy. For example, in order to gather solar energy we need the required solar panels that collect the suns rays of light. Just like solar energy requires solar panels, wind requires windmills, water requires hydroelectric dams, biomass requires wood, and geothermal requires power plants. We can do this by pressing the government to do more research, build the required components, and start collecting these alternative types for a future need.


This petition is to the US government to start producing more and more renewable energy from renewable sources.
