Animal Abuse = wrong

Animal Abuse is a horrible act of violence. Every year millions of innocent animals are killed, in hate crimes, testing, and in just plain violence. At a local shelter, you can find many horses, dogs, cats that are mal-nurished and have many welt marks on their bodies. None of these animals ask for any of this. In Virginia, one innocent family cat came willingly to four boys who would in the end kill her. In exchange for her trust, she was beaten, jumped upon,her legs broken, and was placed under the wheels of her car. Another example, a neighbor of mine, has had many animals yet abuses them, he gets them for his children. He broke a cats neck, and threw him in the road telling his 5 year old granddaughter that he must have ran in the road, also a dog he owned spend one winter[the ice storm of 1998] outside, with no water and no food. Fortunely that dog found its way to our house, with porcupine quills in its nose and lip, we now own that dog. Please sign this petition to stop this useless violence, and keep our pets safe! By the way, with the signatures of this petition, i am going to start by sending this to the political officials in the state of Maine where i live, hopefully this will draw the attention to others that animal abuse is NOT right!
