Apple Computer Warranty Registration Problems

We, the undersigned customers of Apple Computer, Inc. worldwide, want to express our concerns about Apple's warranty registration process. According Apple's own Limited Warranty Agreement, "The warranty will begin when the item is sold to its original retail customer". Much to our dismay, Apple Computer, Inc. consistently registers products at dates that are no where near the actual purchase date, but instead closer to either their initial shipping or manufacture date.
We would be very grateful if you could provide us with an explanation why there is such a difference. For most of us, that difference is a serious drawback when equipment is taken in for service and or we attempt to call in for our 90 days limited phone support.
We strongly feel that eliminating this behavior and providing us an immediate confirmation upon successful registration of any equipment purchased would be the minimum modification we would accept. We the undersigned, also would like access to a site to check our registration information for the serial numbers in our possession.
We also strongly feel that we need a mechanism, to modify any and all warranty information that is not correct . It is neither convenient or acceptable to be forced to call your AppleCare Administrative Group and be made to wait due to excessive hold times.
Upon receipt of this petition we will expect a response within 14 days. If we do not receive a satisfactory response within that time we will release this petition to the media. Ultimately, this will resort in a legal action if these methods do not prove to be productive.
There are enough corporate disappointments and unfeeling monopolies out there...don't be another one.
