We call upon the Government to ban wheel clamping throughout the United Kingdom. Wheel clamping companies set fees that are totally disproportionate to the alleged offence, demand immediate payment irrespective of the ability to pay, and may tow away a vehicle if the driver does not pay up instantly. There is no effective appeal process so the clampers also effectively act as judge and jury.
