Partners for Progress includes people who reside, work, vacation, and/or participate in recreational activities in the Western Catskills. The purpose of the organization is to demonstrate support for the new Belleayre Resort, the expanded Belleayre Ski Centerё and the addition of 1200 new acres of forever wild land to the Catskill Park. Partners for Progress was formed in recognition of the regions 40 plus years of economic decline. We believe these projects can be the spark that turns the decline around, energizing the entire region economically. We are dominated by the New York City watershed with its many required and enforced limitations, thus restricted to the kinds of businesses that can operate locally - agriculture, art, entertainment, tourism, and recreational activities.
