Boycott AGAINST Appearing offline on MSN Messenger

The Feature "APPEAR OFFLINE" is USELESS!
Don't you know that it RUINS conversations! They cannot even BEGIN!
If you are appearing offline just to "See if anyone interesting is on" like so many of us do. we have to STOP! THINK! are our friends ALSO appearing offline?
HOW do we know if our friends are even online. ALL of our contacts could be online as far as we know, but by appearing offline, you would think that they AREN'T.
Communication can lapse and friendships could grow weaker!
I propose removing the feature from any future Messenger versions.
Remember! there are other status' that show non commitance to replying to people we "don't feel like talking to" Away, busy, out to lunch, in a call..or even the good old block button? We can use those if we wish, but please. SAY NO TO APPEARING OFFLINE!
