On Valentine's Day, in a Florida school, 17 people were murdered by a gunman and 14 more were taken to hospital. This was just the latest in a long line of school massacres in the USA. Neither Washington nor the state government will act to control gun ownership. It may be that we foreigners can do more than just wring our hands. Florida is a tourism magnet but we do not have to visit and we can help the school survivors' campaign for a state ban on assault rifles by withholding our holiday cash. We can take our children to the French version of Disneyland instead. It is safer for them there. Therefore, we, the undersigned, declare that we will not visit the state of Florida until its government passes a law to outlaw assault rifles and ammunition.
