Bring Back Electronic Dance Music to Kitchener/Waterloo

This is a call to arms for all those in the Kitchener/Waterloo area extending to Guelph, Cambridge, Toronto and further who want to see electronic music back at the local clubs in KW.

Clearly of late there has been a trend at small and big clubs towards electronic dance music of the Top40s variety. This is not an appeal for more of that. If you miss having quality local DJs as well as guest appearances from out of town artists without having to leave KW or if you enjoyed participating (eg. coming in from out of town) in the previous relevant scene that existed here at specific clubs, then please voice your interest in reviving this. We have plenty of DJs on board and in addition to enjoying them on radio shows, we'd like to make them more available to the public, live.

The goal is to have a situation that is mutually beneficial to clubs and EDM clubbers. This means having a critical mass of people who will support the scene and ensure that it remains viable. It will also help to garner fresh talent, new faces (both behind and in front of the DJ booth) and promote an atmosphere that has been relatively lacking in the past year or so.

So, if you miss the electro, tech, house, trance, random sub-genre nights that were wildly popular (and profitable!) here, then please "e-sign" your name so that we can prove that KW deserves to have a wider and more involved scene back.
