Bring Back Forensic Files

Court TV (now Tru TV) released a limited number of episodes on DVD. As of June 26, 2009, the DVD has been discontinued by the manufacturer.
The problem with this was that the DVD was only sold to certain dealers and not many were distributed, hence it's mediocre sales. On a wider scale, the DVD was only released for region 1 zones, where as it would be more successful in places such as Europe and Australia, as well as the US (with the appropriate distribution).
Episodes could perhaps be released together season by season; with the inclusion of the older 'classic' Medical Detectives programmes.
Reasons why the show would make a profitable transaction to DVD:
- 'The' pioneer of Forensic Science shows has a worldwide established fan base.
- It was one of the first of the popular forensic science shows. The show was so successful that, in 2002, NBC aired it as a summer replacement series, the first time a documentary show produced for cable was aired by a broadcast network in prime time.
- Audience demographics are widespread; appealing to both a younger and older viewer.
In summary, the show has been produced well. It has been exhibited well. It has been distributed poorly.
There is only one crime in this case; letting DVD sales of this incredibly popular programme go amiss!
