Bring back Sam and Max 2 and Full Throttle 2

March 03, 2004 - Sad news for adventure fans today as LucasArts has decided to stop production of the upcoming adventure title Sam and Max. Mike Nelson, acting general manager and VP of finance and operations at LucasArts explains it this way:
"After careful evaluation of current market place realities and underlying economic considerations, we've decided that this was not the appropriate time to launch a graphic adventure on the PC."
After reading such a response to the cancellation of one of Lucasart's great classic adventure games, this has gone too far. First, we lose out on the sequel to Full Throttle, now Sam and Max fall into cancellation. Now is the time for all the SCUMM fans, adventure gamers, and classic Lucasarts gamers to unite to fight for the classics to be revived again in their sequels. Lucasarts is drowning in Star Wars-based games and needs some better variety in their titles to sell to a broader audience. To say it's not economically smart is insane. Let us stand together to show them the mistake they are making in thinking that adventure games have lost their flair and that they will not sell. For every signature we receieve shows Lucasarts another customer who will purchase the aforementioned games, Sam and Max 2 and Full Throttle 2.

WHEN you release Sam and Max 2 and Full Throttle 2, I will buy several copies of each, and recommend this game to all my friends, family and customers. I'll even pay twice the price (so release those special editions for enthusiasts).
