Bring Mancow's Morning Madhouse Back To Chicago

In 2006, "Mancow's Morning Madhouse," formerly a mainstay on Chicago airwaves, was unceremoniously removed by Q101 management in their efforts to change the station's image as well as appeal to a different audience.





On January 10, 2007, Crain's business news reported that Q101's replacement show, "The Morning Fix," has failed to deliver the same ratings that "Mancow's Morning Madhouse" was bringing in, especially at the end of the show's run, which showed that his ratings were rising. In the first words of Crain's article, as a matter of fact, they stated that "'The Morning Fix' hasnt repaired the gaping hole Erich Mancow Muller left behind at Q101." And a gaping hole it is.





As of May 12, 2007, "Mancow's Morning Madhouse" does not have a local affiliate in the Chicagoland area. The voice of Mancow can be heard across the nation, but he has been silenced where he was cherished the most. The gaping hole that Q101 introduced is one that cannot be covered up with replacements. The only way it can be repaired is by bringing back the irreplaceable Mancow Muller.





Thus, this petition is designed to make a case on behalf of Erich "Mancow" Muller, his staff, and anyone associated with "Mancow's Morning Madhouse" so that they may be reintroduced to our airwaves in Chicago. This is not a petition to persuade Q101 to rethink what they've done - the ratings should be doing that. This is a petition to persuade other Chicago affilates to rethink their positions about not picking "Mancow's Morning Madhouse" up for their formats.
