Bringing Japanimation & Japanese Film to the Mid North Coast

We, of the Coffs Harbour Anime & Film Club, present a list of avid local film goers who wish to endorse the regular showing of Japanimation and Japanese Film in our local cinemas. We will proudly support Sawtells independent First Avenue Cinema if they chose to start showing films from these two genres.
In particular question is the latest Studio Ghibli film Gedo Senki or Tales of the Earthsea will be released in mid 2007. This is the debut film of Goro Miyazaki, son of Hayao Miyazaki.
Hayao has so far directed a significant portion of the Studio Ghibli films with his latest works including Howls Moving Castle, Oscar winning Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke. As expected the film was welcomed in Japan in the same stead as films by Goros father. Tales of the Earthsea spent 5 weeks at #1 at the Japanese Box Office bringing in $60 million.
