BUSH NEEDS TO RESIGN

Dear President Bush,

11 score, eight years ago, (228 years) Our fathers set forth on this continent and created a new nation, conceived in liberty and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.

Those words are still relevant today (or are they?). Ashcroft is taking away our unalienable rights. Among the rights he has taken away are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Our administration thinks the only people who are equal are those who marry the opposite gender.

How far has our country gotten since the Declaration of Independence was signed? Well, instead of our colonies rebelling against England, Iraqi colonies are rebelling against us. Instead of making African Americans do slave labor, they are doing the same work for minimum wage while the white man profits.

The day I started this petition was Independence Day, because I wanted to express my first amendment right on the day that I felt most patriotic. You are not "un-American" to want leaders who will not harm America. It is not "un-American" to care enough about America to demand that its leaders take responsibility for their actions. As of today, Independence Day, 863 of our young Americans have died in Iraq and 5,052 have been wounded. They were fighting against "WMDs, a Saddam who has never attacked America, and a Saddam who did not have enough power to be a serious threat to America.

We need to elect a leader who will not invade sovereign nations and who will not give tax cuts to the rich. Kerry has promised to raise minimum wage because he cares about people who are less fortunate than himself. We need to take action.
