Call for tougher regulations by local Council when registering tattoo studios/tattooists

There are an increasing number of tattoo studios opening in Southend and the surrounding area.  Not all of these studio's are actually capable of tattooing to a high standard.  Being a professional tattooist myself with 18 years experience, I am seeing an increasing number of people with less than desirable tattoos that they are very unhappy with.  Although I understand that it is up to the individual to do their research when it comes to choosing a tattooist, I also feel that the local Borough Council should have tougher regulations that they can implement when it comes to giving a licence to a tattooist.
