Call on the Canadian Government to Outlaw Alcohol and Tobacco

WHEREAS it is estimated tobacco kills over 45 000 people every year, including non-smokers;
WHEREAS MADD Canada estimates there are somewhere between 1,425 and 1,600 impaired crash fatalities in Canada each year and approximately 74,181 individuals were injured in impaired driving crashes, many of the dead and injured are school kids;
WHEREAS the cost of tobacco and alcohol damage is clearly in the billions of dollars and the cost to families can't be measured;
WHEREAS tobacco and alcohol serves no useful purpose other then to hurt people and make companies rich;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that We, the undersign, call on the Canadian government to outlaw alcohol and tobacco without delay.
