As a day care center teacher in Connecticut, I feel that the day care centers are grossly underpaid. For what we as teachers do in our job is, to me, one of the most important jobs of all: to take care of America's children, including infants, toddlers, pre-schoolers, and school-agers. Right now, I make only 8.00 per hour, less than what you can make flipping burgers in a local McDonalds. I agree, certain careers that people choose to help out in this world are not paid on a margin you'd think they should be. Daycare teachers, ambulance rescue teams, etc. Why is it that you can start off at 9.00 an hour at stop and shop, but go to school

I believe that people who have recieved a full education, and who work harder than the average person should be paid enough to support themselves and a child in the town that they work in for working 40hours a week, which would have to be at least 13000/y
