Community College Classes on Mendonoma Coast

Because we have supported Santa Rosa Junior College for decades with our property tax dollars, ($2,800,000. this year alone), and because presently we have only one transferable college class and one government-funded Senior Citizens class,we feel strongly that residents of the Mendonoma Coast are not being well served by the SRJC district. We want more and better local class offerings for our young people, retraining adults, and lifelong learners, as well as student and administrative services on-site.

As a resident of Mendocino County, I was shocked at the amount of money that I had to pay Sonoma County for SRJC. We definately are not getting our money's worth.

Please consider the fact that the residents of the Mendonoma are required to travel at least 1 1/2 hours to attend SRJC. We respectfully request local access. Thank you.
