The Humane Society of Polk County is in need of our help. This petition has been created to generate support in acknowledging that the animal shelter is a important force for the community in protecting and adopting out stray and abandoned animals on a daily basis.
There has been a postitive shift in shelter management, a stronger board of directors being built, fundraisers are being developed, grant letters are being drafted, however, we need your support in numbers showing the city/county commission how important a humane society is to community service. You can do this by adding you name and email to this petition and sharing the petition with your family and friends and coworkers who also feel strongly that an animal shelter is an important assest to a city/county.
