Deck Painting Requirement

We the undersigned, Glenkirk Estates Community residents, are against the Architectural Guidelines Section VII, 3a. on Decks stating that "Deck and balcony details, including rails, pickets, beams, posts, stair elements, and exterior band boards must be painted to match the exterior trim color on the house or they may be white." We believe this is an infraction on our right as homeowners to choose the manner in which our deck is maintained. We are requesting this language be stricken from the Homeowner's Rules and Regulations handbook.
