Defeating the Proposed Day Laborer Site at Centreville Square Shopping Center near the Public Library

We the undersigned oppose the proposed day laborer site at the Centreville Square Shopping Center next to the Centreville Public Library.
We believe that the vast majority of the individuals using day labor are undocumented aliens who have already broken US Immigration law by illegally trespassing into our country and that a day labor site that assists such aliens in obtaining work is breaking INA 274A(a)(1)(A) by assisting aliens to obtain employment.

We believe that the day labor site will further exacerbate the problem of loitering and harassing patrons of the stores and library by becoming a magnet drawing even more illegal aliens from other nearby areas.
We know that the business owners from Centreville Square have complained that the presence of day laborers is having a negative effect on their business, and patrons complain about the situation of the men harassing women and girls, and we believe that the day labor site will increase the problem, as opposed to alleviate it, as witnessed by what happened at the now closed Herndon day labor site.
We believe that such a site near our homes and next to our only public library would be dangerous and threatening to our children. Indeed in 2008 24 year old illegal immigrant was charged with sexually assaulting four children at the Centreville Regional Library and in 2007 an illegal immigrant raped a 23 year old woman.

Thus we hereby petition Mr. Michael Frey, Sully District Supervisor, and Mr. Albert J. Dwoskin, Developer and owner of Centreville Square Shopping Center, to protect our families and drop plans to implement a day laborer site on the grounds of Centreville Square Shopping Center.
