Demand An Accounting of Personnel Injuries in Iraq

We demand that the U.S. Military immediately begin to publicly announce the number of wounded military and employed civilian personnel in the Iraq conflict. These announcements shall be made at the same briefings and announcements citing the number of deaths due to attacks by opposition forces. As of October 22, 2003 nearly 400 persons of the coalition forces have perished in the Iraq war; however, the number of wounded has been essentially treated as secret information, and the Bush Administration refuses to reveal to the American public, and military families at large, the true sacrifice being made by our troops and loved ones. Through unofficial sources it is known that the number of wounded is high. It is imperative that these figures be made available to facilitate debate within our citizenry as to the human cost of this war. We demand an immediate change to this information policy!

133. Diane R | what about wounded who die in the hospital? there's NO mention of them anywhere. Are the doctors so "efficient" (per Rumsfeld) that all of the wounded survive? Hmmm....
