Despite our strong objection, SBS aired the biased documentary titled "Armenian Genocide" in April 2006, which caused major upset within the Australian Turkish Community. SBS also refused to air independently produced documentary called "Armenian Revolt" in order to be just and fair.
This unfairly act of SBS helped the Armenian Diaspora to label their suffering as 'genocide', while completely ignoring the historically documented death of hundreds of thousands of Turks and other Moslems at the hands of the Armenian Revolutionary Bands during the First World War.
As Australians of Turkish origin, we were very disappointed that SBS refused to air "Armenian Revolt" last year.
In the interest of fairness, equality and balanced journalism we, the undersigned, strongly urge SBS to air "Armenian Revolt" this year. We will work diligently until this documentary film aired on the SBS Television.

We live in a modern day democracy. We have supposedly progressed from the World Wars. It seems we're only going backwards. A real shame for Australia.

If SBS is "the voice and vision of a multicultural Australia" then I demand that it be a unbiased, ethical and a moral broadcaster and show BOTH sides of a story, like every honest journalist knows there is always two sides to a story!
