We call upon Oxford City Council to support local businesses by providing a means of advertising that is free of charge or at an affordable rate for small businesses. In particular, a means of displaying posters or distributing leaflets that advertise our businesses.
Over the last year the amount of legal poster boards have been reduced forcing some businesses to seek unlawful means of advertising such as fly postering.
We feel that no attempt has been made by Oxford city council to find a solution for this and we feel that the club night and events trade has been particularly targeted and punished.
Please help us find a solution to this problem so that we may promote our businesses within the law and continue providing quality entertainment and events in the city centre.
