"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
This states that there will be NO law that can restrict religion for any reason. Therefor schools have no legal ability to state whether or not its students can wear only specific religious symbols. Schools do have the right to restrict the dress of the students to non offensive clothing, but this does not give them the right to take away our constitutional right to display proudly a religious symbol.
We all need to fight against schools deciding to take away students constitutional right to freedom of religion. School administration should not be allowed to make rules that force our children into religious conformity. Action must be taken to deny schools the right to decide what religious symbols are appropriate for our children to wear publically.
