Please require the United States Coast Guard and all other government officials working in the Gulf of Mexico on the Deep Horizon oil spill to allow the press to report and document fully and openly on the spill without being turned away or denied access to the affected areas and information regarding the spill. Please revoke the control BP has been given over the U.S. Coast Guard and other U.S. officials at least to the extent that BP has the power to limit press access to the oil spill and its damage.
