Get rid of the Top Button Rule!

We, the undersigned, being incredibly shocked, completely appalled and gravely concerned that the new resolution to implement the fastening of top-buttons is a terrible mistake.

We feel that it is unnecessary and inconvenient to have such a rule, and even worse is the decision to issue lunchtime detentions for having top-buttons unfastened, when having them fastened is extremely uncomfortable, and sometimes agonisingly painful.

We also feel that if your colleagues and staff cannot comply with this rule, then we should not have to, as our teachers should be effective role-models, and should not be over-privileged, nor underprivileged.

We earnestly petition that you and your board of govorners should remove this excessive principle, and revise your priorities so that more effort should be put into other school issues, such as bullying, which, even though mostly tame, is very common all over the school, and should be dealt with accordingly.
