Home Media Option (HMO) for DirecTV Receivers with TiVo

We, the undersigned, ask that DirecTV allow and implement the Home Media Option (HMO) software upgrade for existing and future owners of DirecTV PVRs that support the TiVo service.

The benefit to DirecTV for providing this service would be a unique and robust collection of digital media offerings that would place them atop the digital cable and direct-broadcast satellite industry, enticing existing and new DirecTV subscribers to purchase additional DirecTV services.

DirecTV has a long-standing tradition of excellence in customer service, and was recognized by JD Power & Associates in 2002 as the top customer service provider in the digital cable and DBS industry. We feel that by offering the HMO software upgrade, you will be continuing in your great tradition of placing the customer first.

In this age of technological revolution, DirecTV has managed to stay on the cutting-edge of development without compromising customer service. For the sake of new customers, existing customers and your stockholders, we ask that you continue to do this by making the HMO software available to those existing and potential DirecTV customers who wish to purchase it.
