Howard has lacked economic vision & Australia is paying too much for it at the Petrol Pump!

Dear Honorable Members of the Australian Federal GOvernment,


this is a Petition to give the PM, John


Howard the right royal order of the boot unless the pump price


of our petrol goes down to a much more reasonable level ASAP !

In 1987 the global stock market suffered a dramatic overnight


collapse and the various Labor governments around Australia


paid the penalty (given they were in power), as it was claimed


they lacked the acumen, prudence and foresight to have been


good economic managers, and did nothing to avert the impact


of their so called 'neglect'. Well, John Howard has been self-


congratulatory about his government's apt decision-making in


the face of a 'refugee' crisis, and with the flair of an inventive


accountant conjured up a Tampa-led refugee invasion which


he spiced up with an equally imaginative 'children overboard'


fiction. But, what goes around, comes around, and the surge


in current oil prices is like-wise a catastrophe that the current


government needs to take direct responsibility for and give an


account of its lack of preparation for it to the Australian people.





Not so long ago, John Howard eulogised the export to China of


$B25 worth of Australian gas, which instead of being delivered


to the Australian rural and population centres to fuel farming,


and industry (including business and manufacturing), and the


other needs of Australian society for an efficient, cheaper and


more effectively sustainable fuel than polluting the oil products


underpinning the majority of our domestic transport needs, he


sent it off overseas to guarantee a continued growth of China's


emerging economic powerhouse and its manufacturing boom,


to unpatriotically leave Australia mortally prey to the global oil


market and its cartel conspiracies to raise prices and slug us !





NOT happy, John! Stop what gas is left, going off-shore. Get it


instead into a usable form to fuel Australia's domestic economy.





Australia needs now more than ever to SELL its oil at peak prices


and use the export income to subsidise the development of gas


based efficiencies and economies of scale to build up our local


economic potential at the EXPENSE of the global market and not


VICE VERSA ! If you don't get it John, you deserve the big boot !
