WE, THE UNDERSIGNED, OPPOSE THE SHELTER SLATED TO OPEN
APRIL 1, 2008 AT 1001 E. FAYETTE ST. FOR THE FOLLOWING REASONS:
1. There are already 3 transitional/homeless facilities in Jonestown.
2. The negative effect it will have on revitalization efforts of taxpayers, the city, developers and businesses who have cumulatively invested millions in this area.
3. The safety of the community, its children, and visitors will be compromised.
4. The likely increase in crime, including loitering, vandalism, littering, theft, prostitution, drug trafficking, public intoxication, urination and defecation.
