In Aaron McGill's wake, he has left AT A MINIMUM, 2 concussions, a broken wrist, and a broken jaw. All of which were the result of blindsides, sucker punches, and cheap shots.
According to the Augusta Chronicle (http://chronicle.augusta.com/sports/hockey/riverhawks/2011-02-15/riverhawks-mcgill-suspended?v=1297815445), Augusta coach Brad Ralph said Tuesday that McGill was devastated by the news. General manager Mark Richards said the RiverHawks will appeal the ruling. We, the fans and supporters of the SPHL, would like our voices heard on this matter as well and feel any such appeal should not be entertained, and the current ruling upheld.
With one voice we say, Aaron McGill is a liability and we have no desire to watch a player like this continue to leave a wake of other players ended seasons due to injury; and, possibly ended careers due to the severity of the injuries he has caused.
Further, we, the fans and supporters of the SPHL, call for an investigation and possible indefinite suspension for Aaron McGill. A player like this has no respect for the other players, the other teams, the fans, or the game. He is a menace to the game of hockey. There is no place for a player like him in this game. He has gotten away with too much for far too long.
Thank you for valuing our input as well.
