Keep AP Courses in Mississippi

Due to the budget cuts, AP level classes are being cut from the school curriculum. This is clearly an irrational decision. Why cut down our chances of getting higher education and scholarships later in life? These are the very classes that could help us get high-end education and bring money back into the Mississippian economy. They are also the only way we could ever dream of gaining a higher position than second to last intellectual state in the US. The verdict sounds even more improbable when extracurricular activities are thrown into the equation. Should we not cut from sports and the like before even thinking of touching our educational possibilities? Is it really right to stunt our own education when that is what we need most right now? We, the students of Mississippi schools are here to voice our own opinions and demand that they be heard and, at least, contemplated. .
