We the undersigned, being either members or supporters of the Conservative Party, do herby request that any plans to replace the present "Conservative Party Torch" logo are reconsidered.
We believe that the Torch has served the Conservative Party well in it's various formats since it's introduction in the early 1980's. We believe it is a symbol that is instantly recognisable and promotes the values of the British Conservative Party.
We do not believe that a case has been made for change, and that change simply for changes sake is rarely beneficial.
We believe that no decision to change the Party Logo should be taken without a binding consultation process to include, as a minimum, Members of Parliament; Area and Constituency Officers and Members of the Association of Conservative Councillors. Additionally, as part of any such consultation, the proposed alternative logo should be circulated so those participating in the process have a clear example of the alternative option/s.
