Kick Life Insurance Companies OUT OF 401k!!

Life Insurance Companies have been in the 401k retirement business for a couple decades. However, according to Bloomberg TV investigative reporter Michael Schneider, these companies obsfucate and conceal fees and expenses that rob hard-working savers of their retirement security. In Schneider's report, located at:
....we learn just what a terrible job these companies have done. Massive waste and unnecesssary expense pervade the 401k platforms of every life insurance company in this business. This results in hundreds of thousands of dollars in lost growth, poor performance, and a heightened risk of being impoverished in your golden years - even though you may have saved diligently in your 401k for many decades! Its a real shame.
Therefore, this petition seeks to get life insurers back to the business they know best, life insurance, and to leave the responsibility of creating and managing American's retirement income security to those who know best and have the best interests of plan sponsors and participants at heart - Independent Pension Fiduciaries and Fee-Only financial planners using low-cost, passively-manged, academic-based, index funds.
Also equally important is The 401(k) Fair Disclosure for Retirement Security Act (H.R. 3165), which is currently a bill in the US Congress that has passed the Education and Labor committee. Unfortunately, it passed by a party-line vote, with all my fellow republicans voting against! Unbelievable. This bill needs your support!! Please write your congressman.
