I think that children at the age of 11 or 12 should be able to get a job, many kids beg their parents for pocket money and almost always get hardly anything. Also because of the 'credit-crunch' many parents cannot afford to give pocket money and I think children should be able to find a way to earn money. I know children do go out and offer to walk people's dogs and wash people's cars but (as I know from experience) are almost always rejected which can be very embarrassing. And even when someone does say yes it immediately creates a danger because a child is working for a unreliable stranger. However if a child can get a decent job then the danger risk is immediately gone because the work place has a record of all workers but a random stranger down the street does not.
