I am a proponent of a full-time LGBT Director position to be created at FIU. For years we've been trying to get a full-time director and it is yet to happen. We need someone who is knowledgeable of the subject on the LGBT community to help provide educational services. This would be inclusive on both campuses.
Many colleges such as Florida State University, Emory University, University of Michigan already have a dedicated LGBT Director and Resource Center. We need to get up to date!
